2 DAY, 1-NIGHT MEXICAN WINE COUNTRY ESCAPE SAMPLE ITINERARY:
Spend two days visiting Baja’s best boutique wineries in the Valle to get an intimate tasting experience and feel the passion that goes into their wines. Allow yourself to relax and take in the beautiful panoramic views and simply enjoy!
Experience true Mexican Cuisine of Baja California, farm or ocean to table or both, you will love it! Your safe, accommodated hotel is in the Valle or downtown Ensenada.
Your bilingual Guides will be with you and sharing their extensive experience and knowledge of the region and its history in our safe, friendly, air-conditioned transportation, our drivers look forward to our groups and are available 24hrs. We will take you to places most Gringos do not know about and give you a real taste of Baja.
If you are staying in Ensenada: Where was the Margarita created? Well, that is a bit of a controversy! We will take you to both places, try and compare the two and you be the judge!
And then, the must see places, Hussong’s est. 1892, the oldest surviving Cantina in Ensenada and other places on our walking tour.
Whether it is in the valleys or along the coast, you will be awed by the beauty!

DAY 1 – FROM THE BORDER..
8:00am-8:45am: We pick you up at your residence, hotel, or at the designated meeting spot. Or you can meet us at The Jack in the Box, 721 E. San Ysidro Blvd, San Ysidro, California on the US side of the US-Mexico border. This is the San Diego to Tijuana border crossing which is open currently.
Please have your Passport and required documents for each guest.
8:45am-9:00am: Cross the border on foot with your guide through Mexican Immigration and Customs to our safe, insured and well-appointed tour vehicle waiting on the Mexico side of the border.
9:00am-11:00am: Drive to Rosarito, our breakfast stop, to El Mirador to pick up our Charcuterie Boxes.
11:30pm-1:30pm – Winery Stop #1 – As you take in the expansive afternoon views of the Valle, you’ll enjoy a complete tasting flight of premium handcrafted wines. We’ll take you behind the scenes for a tour of the winemaking facilities at this state-of-the-art boutique winery, and you’ll learn about the fascinating history and unique methodology of Mexican winemaking.
1:45-2:45pm: Family Style lunch at an amazing restaurant, you will love it!
3:00pm-4:45pm: Winery Stop #2 – It is time to relax and taste more award winning wine and match it with some fresh and delicious delights from the region, whether it is our Charcuterie boxes or dishes available here, you will be amazed.
5:00pm: Drive to Your Hotel in the Valley or to Ensenada, Check-in, relax and enjoy the evening. We will make arrangements for dinner when you book your trip depending on the location of your overnight stay.
*Dinner and drinks are not included but we have some awesome places to suggest or you can come with us!
DAY 2- WINE TASTING AND LUNCH IN THE VALLE
6:00am-10:00am: Have breakfast at your hotel and check-out is at 10:00 am, then meet your guides and driver, who will load your overnight bags into the tour vehicle before departing for another day of wine sampling in the Valle!
10:30am-11:00am: Drive to your first winery stop in the Valle de Guadalupe
11:00am-1:00pm: Winery Stop #1 – Enjoy a long list of artisan wines from one of the top winemakers in this region. This is one of the very first boutique wineries which specializes in bold handmade award-winning wines and is one of the top wineries in Mexico.
1:30pm-2:00pm: On our way to lunch at one of our excellent restaurants/wineries .
2:00pm-3:30pm: Enjoy Lunch, Wine, and tour the grounds.
3:30pm-4:00: Off to the next and last winery in the Valley.
4:00pm – 5:15: Enjoy yourself while Drinking up the spectacular sights and incredible wine from one of Guadalupe’s oldest wineries.
5:15: Bummer, it is time to go back to the border.
6:00pm: Stop for drinks, snacks and take a drive through unforgettable scenery. (stop for restrooms also).
6:30-7:00pm: After clearing U.S. Immigration and Customs, we will meet our transportation and return to the pick up site or you can catch the San Diego Trolley, taxi, or Uber (while most of our groups usually experience just 10-20 minute crossing times, your arrival time in San Ysidro is highly dependent on the actual border wait time on the day of your tour, which may vary – SDB has no ability to affect actual border wait times).

Our delightfully personalized Charcuterie boxes have all Local fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, crackers, bread, and jams! Enjoy! We have Vegetarian and Vegan options.
We provide you with our SDB Tours tin cup in our effort to cut down on plastic waste! There will be refilling stations at each stop.
We offer customized pick up and drop off, for an additional fee, from all major hotels, transportation hubs and parking lots throughout San Diego County. Our main pick-up location is in the Parking lot on the west side of the Old Town Transit Center.
