Tour Details

Tijuana has become a gastronomic destination because of its diverse population from all over Mexico, Asia and Europe which has heavily influenced the food!  Baja Med, a term coined by Chef Miguel Ángel Guerrero refers to the fusion of these cuisines with ingredients such as chicharrón, queso Real De Castillo, olive oil, chiles, lemongrass, and soy sauce.  Baja Med showcases the fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, meat and seafood of Baja California.  Culinary Arts School(CAS), Tijuana, has produced many local graduates which today are renowned chefs, winemakers, and brewers who have worked together to pair their Baja Med and Traditional Mexican dishes with the wine and beer from this region.

We will take you to the birthplace of the Caesar salad where you will experience the table-side preparation of this popular salad.  Then it is off to a CAS chef-owned restaurant for some amazing dishes and a creative cocktail or a flavorful glass of wine from Valle Guadalupe. Next, we will be going to a local Food Truck Court that features a variety of food from tacos to pizza plus artisan beer from local Baja breweries. To walk off a few of the calories, we will take a tour of the Culinary Art School and see the future chefs learning the techniques of food preparation.  Now it is time for dessert at Brecha which is next door and part of CAS, where you can get a delicious pastry and coffee from café Viajando con Sol or an exquisite hot chocolate with handmade chocolatey delights at Kajkab chocolate shop.  You can customize this awesome tour if there are specific places that you would like to go to and spend more time eating and drinking in Tijuana.

What to Expect
Passion, Safety, and a Memorable Experience are what you can expect on our tours in Baja and San Diego. We bring our extensive resumes, cultural knowledge, language; English and Spanish, and rare expertise regarding San Diego, California, and Baja California Norte, Mexico. With these jaunts, we show you how amazingly culturally diverse the surrounding San Diego area is and that we are not alone here, we have Tijuana and Northern Baja California which have been and are forever connected in so many ways. Most people do not notice this but once our clients experience Mexico, they realize the many similarities but also, the major differences which exist today and will in the future. This includes the restaurants, eateries, food trucks, wineries breweries, and of course, the Margaritas on both sides of the border. Our trips throughout our region include many interesting, eclectic, and awe-inspiring locations which you will not receive from the other tour companies. We are not just a drive and drop off Tour Company, we are in constant interaction whether it is on the bus or on the ground. We love sharing in a fun, safe, and energy-filled environment which we hope will open our client's eyes to what it is to really see and experience the incredibly fascinating places in our neck of the woods. We encourage multi-day custom trips so you can really get the feel of San Diego and Baja.
